The Legend Hobby 86″ A-1 Skyraider has flown! I really can’t say enough good things about how this model flies, it is incredible and I love it! So much so that I flew the model 9 times the first day I had it out at the field (including the maiden) and I would’ve flown it more if I could. The outline of the model is quite scale and so to keep the scale looks and the integrity of the cowl, I opted for electric with a sound system. I have a Scorpion 5535-160kv motor on 12s 7000mah SpektrumRC smart packs swinging a Biela 20×14 prop. This power system flies the airplane wonderfully! It provides great power and authority pulling nice large verticals and 100mph speeds straight and level. The airplane tracks great and really presents like the full scale airplane in the air. Also, ground handling is easily manageable on takeoffs and landings which is especially nice. A big thank you to my friend for Corsair Nut for helping with video in the absence of my friend Paul who usually helps out behind the camera. I can’t wait to get more flights on this bird! #badassspad #justflyininmyspad #thercgeek
